Spectacular races, big successes, but also a lot of bad luck – once more the GT4 races in Oschersleben were eventful and thrilling. The KTM-X-BOW drivers Catharina Felser, Christopher Haase and Dennis Retera experienced an emotional roller coaster.
While Haase and Retera passed a positive qualifying, things didn’t go well for Cathi Felser – something that was reversed during the three races (a 50-minute „Long Race“ and two 25-minute „Sprint Races“): Felser achieved last second perfect co-ordination, won twice in the Sports-Light category, came overall fifth and seventh among the markedly stronger GT4 cars, reached the Sports-Light podium after the third race and took over at the top of the table with a big advantage.
Both gents, however, experienced a lot of bad luck: Christopher Haase wasted a chance to reach the podium (in the overall rankings) by spinning off the track – and Dennis Retera was almost literally brought down even before the first bend – by his direct opponent in the Sports-Light category Gavan Kershaw of all people….
