60 attend the dealership conventio in Graz
DEALERS & IMPORTERS PUT THE PEDAL TO THE METAL!

Almost exactly two years ago KTM’s first sports car went into production in Graz/ Styria. Meanwhile around 500 of this leightweight sportscars with the first ever serial produced carbon fibre monocoques have been sold. So when it came to staging the biggest dealership convention for some time it stood to reason to choose the production site as location to bring service- and sales partners as well as importers from all over the world together. No less than 60 people followed the call from KTM and around 40 service- and sales partners and 9 importers (among others from Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, China or South Africa) came to Graz on June 24th.

They were personally greeted by the ‚master of the house’, Stefan Pierer. The KTM chairman had good news in the shape of the financial figures for the third quarter of the current business year. The motorbike- and car manufacturer from Mattighofen is on a very good path, constantly winning market shares and is back in the black, after a very difficult time last year. Apart from Stefan Pierer the board members Harald Plöckinger (development and production) as well as Hubert Trunkenpolz (marketing and sales) were on site, whereas the latter presented an interesting outlook onto the immediate future of the KTM X-BOW in front of the gathered dealers and importers.

Apart from the ongoing production (4 vehicles are assembled at the ultra-modern site in Graz every week) and the satisfactory sales figures the two highly successful racing series, supported by KTM, were explained in detail: The KTM X-BOW BATTLE as field of activity for all those X-BOW owners, who want to pursue circuit racing in their vehicle, the KTM X-BOW HILLCLIMB TROPHY for all those keen on hillclimb racing. Both series already have full starting fields in their first year and offer great sport, particularly the typical spirit of the ‘KTM Family’ in the drivers’ paddock.

Absolute highlight and clear statement from KTM regarding the continuity of the KTM X-BOW was the exclusive outlook onto the coming developments: The participants of the dealership convention were able to admire a finished version of the model ‚R’ (over 300 HP and 400 Nm torque), planned for 2011 and there were already first pictures of the model ‘T’ (touring version with windshield), planned for 2012 – and thanks to those the dealers & importers can put their pedals to the metal in future!
